Working Process
- Project Scope
Creating a corporate portal for a unique social company: design and UX development from scratch.
- Challenge
WRKfor operates within a complex business model that intersects the interests of forced migrants, government institutions, and local authorities. Working in such a sensitive domain requires special attention to personal data protection and compliance.
Approach
The platform was built on an open-source CMS that could be quickly customized to meet the project’s requirements. Particular attention was paid to compliance with the European GDPR regulations.
Multilingual support was another critical aspect. At launch, the website was available in English and Dutch. However, the WRKfor team includes specialists who also speak Ukrainian, Arabic, Turkish, Farsi, Tigrinya, and other languages. Therefore, the system architecture was designed to allow easy and correct addition of new language versions in the future.
Solutions
- Clear Value Communication
The portal is primarily aimed at potential customers and partners. It clearly communicates WRKfor’s mission and services, offers a structured interaction roadmap, and includes an online form for an initial consultation.
- Impact Section as a Trust-Building Tool
WRKfor’s social impact is not just part of its brand image — it directly demonstrates the company’s effectiveness. The Impact section features infographics, key figures, and real stories of people whose lives were changed through the organization’s work.
- Simplified Content Management
A user-friendly WordPress admin panel was implemented for users with minimal technical skills. This allowed the WRKfor team to easily and efficiently manage and update website content.

Proper Presentation of Psychosocial Support
Business Impact
"With the new website, we have become not only visible but understandable to our customers, partners, and service users. This is the key criterion for closing deals in a G2B2C business model. Especially in the Netherlands, where there are just over 300 municipalities nationwide, and negotiations — from the first contact to contract signing — take on average 6 to 9 months,"
comments Anastasia Zakomorna, communications product owner at WRKfor.
Beyond immediate results, the new portal provides long-term flexibility for growth — from adding new language versions to launching additional content blocks and sections.
For the WEZOM team, partnering with WRKfor had special meaning. The company originally started as a support initiative for Ukrainian displaced people and has helped thousands of individuals in difficult circumstances. Contributing to such a project was both a great responsibility and a meaningful success for our team.
